Seripop

The duo known as Seripop are punk as you know what, and they are not stopping come hell, highwater, or border police. Late last year, they were touring ye olde North America with their noise band AIDS Wolf, all the while dreaming up New Year’s resolutions like “Be more pro-active about contacting galleries” and “Get outta the house more.” So far, the resolutions seem to be going well: AIDS Wolf is on tour again this spring and Seripop’s got solo gallery shows popping off in Scotland, England, and Canada between now and June.

All this rock ‘n’ roll is directly inspiring their work, which includes a new series of backpatches to sew on your jean jacket. And then there’s the nonstop stream of album covers and posters (for Eva Braun, Silver Apples, Eats Tapes), t-shirts, and personalized tattoos for friends. In between all this, you can find Chloe & Yannick silkscreening like mad at 100-Sided Die, the DIY art space the duo helped found in Montreal’s Mile End, and baking up yummy vegan treats for all their friends and enemies.
