Matt Furie
Since we last spoke, Matt “Lord of Moldovia” Furie has had shows at Giant Robot and New Image Art in Los Angeles and Space 1026 in Philly. He and his girlfriend, the artist Aiyana Udesen, dressed up as Juggalos for Halloween 2008. He continues to collect weird toys and continues to make kooky videos with his brother Jason Furie (who, incidentally, is a former intern at XLR8R TV).
When he isn’t drawing or doing karaoke to bad songs from the ’90s, 29-year-old Furie also enjoys going out in San Francisco’s Mission District and watching The Neverending Story. For more creature features, check out his new-ish book Boy’s Club 2 from Buenaventura Press.
